Fat Sally's

Managing to find a parking spot that is fairly close to what seems to be the town centre, they leave the car and take to the sidewalk to walk around town. It looks to be a very pleasant place. Given the five hour time difference, though it was close to midday when they left Montana, it's only an hour or two after sunrise here, and the town is just springing into life. [Ignoring the possible complication of daylight saving time in one or other place.]

After a few minutes, Bill spots a sign reading "Fat Sally's Pub and Restaurant". "There!" he says, pointing. "That has to be the place. Not only does it have a great name, but I'd sooner have a whisky than a coffee to settle my own nerves."

1. They go in.
2. Looking at the menu in the window, Alice objects that it seems a bit pricey. "For all we know, it might be cheap for New Zealand," Edith points out.
3. The place is closed. From a nearby clock on the side of a building, they are able to work out that it won't be opening for several hours.
