Horsehockey V - Episode 2112

The intrepid and unwilling travelers Edith, Bill and Alice decide to enter Fat Sally's Pub & Restaurant on Thames Street, which is a classy tavern with exposed brick walls and a beer garden serving classic pub eats in a polished space. The atmosphere immediately appeals to Edith, while Bill is now absolutely craving a glass or three of whiskey to settle his nerves.

Think about it. Even you would probably want a few stiff ones after being teleported more than halfway across the globe earlier. And Bill didn't really care that it was early morning in Oamaru right now.

It's a fairly busy morning at Fat Sally's, with a large crowd already present, absolutely grateful to be living in a nation that handled a deadly pandemic perfectly to the point that social distancing was now recommended, not required.

  1. Our heroes get seated immediately.
  2. The gang is blocked at the door. None of them had thought to bring facial protection with them.
  3. A local in the back of the room stands up and points at our heroes. "LOOK!" he cries. "Some YANKS just came in!"
  4. The sound system is playing Rush. How ironic.
