Alice still carefully contemplates the menu...

1. "All right, let's go in," she says.
2. "Why don't we try that pizza place next door?"
3. "Right, where's the nearest McDonald's instead?"
4. Three minutes later, Bill, Alice and Edith are all making a beeline for Countdown up the street. Getting groceries might be cheaper than dining out this morning.
