Instead, Edith landed on Hanging Rock (aka Mount Diogenes or Ngannelong) in the state of Victoria. Something compelled her to climb up, where she encountered a unique rock formation blocking off a cavern that seemed too small for a human being to enter. Edith instead, through unknown means, transformed into a lizard, entered the crevice, and was taken to another time and dimension, never to be seen again.

Sounds like it would make a great film, doesn't it? Oh yes, that's right!

2. Actually, Edith was teleported to Argentina.
3. Wait, no, Edith was actually teleported to Alaska.
4. Come to think of it, Edith was teleported down to New Zealand. The village of Bluff at the tip of the South Island, to be precise.
5. What really happened was that after Edith entered the portal, she somehow ended up back in her hotel room...just as Bill and Alice were walking out of it.
6. Edith is actually teleported to Fort Stockton, Texas, just outside the hotel where her brother and his friends have been staying.
