The writing team has been hit by a spat of uncreative bullshit. So of course it turns out the classic Star Wars crew lands in the middle of a 2019 comic book store. Han Solo, Luke, Leia, Chewie and no robots, thank god. And also thankfully, this is a universe where the Star Wars movies never existed. So the crew is not beset by sweaty science fiction nerds. Well, except for Leia, considering she's a woman. A brief growl by Chewbacca gets the sweaty nerds to back off. "I will rip your heads off and beat you to death with your own skull" is easily translatable among the stars. The comic book store owner comes out and mistakes the crew for a sci-fi based improv comedy troupe that had agreed to come by as part of a charity tie in deal with the local no-kill animal shelter. Things quickly get weirder as the ACTUAL comedy troupe shows up. And the no-kill animal shelter employees. And twelve otherwise friendly canines. The store is really nudging the fire marshall's people limit... There's more growling. Things vibrate that should not vibrate. The leader of the actual comedy troupe, Jack Tightabs, pretends the newcomers were actually part of a deal. This, mostly to avoid a panic and people being hurt at the exits. The scheduled performance, such as it is, goes off with few hitches. There was some panic but waves of peace in the Force helped. Plus Chewie making friends with all the animals and two of the more scruffier comic book fans.
