Father and Son

A tall man emerges from the portal, clad in a black shirt and blue pants, followed by an apparently injured female, who stumbles and falls from the portal. While their attention is focused mostly on the fallen girl, both Astra and Exotica notice that this newcomer looks quite a bit like the nordic-looking being who had attacked and injured Belboz earlier.

Chamuel's demeanor goes from cold and calculated to a look of distress after he sees who had just emerged from the portal. It was his own son, Edgar Hawkings [NEQ 12653].

"FATHER!" Edgar screams. "You're not running from me anymore! Explain yourself!"
"Son, this is no concern to you!" Chamuel responds.

While father and son argued, Astra and Exotica ran over to attend to the injured woman, and they both realize that they have met her before.

"Stacy?" Astra asks, gently pushing her hair out of her face. Stacy's face has been bloodied, and she might have been in worse shape than she appeared.
"What happened to you, Stacy?" asks Exotica.

Stacy Jones, who long ago had awoken on a Manhattan subway car with no idea how or why she got there [NEQ 669], and then found her mother lying dead in a subway station [NEQ 21769], ended up meeting Edgar Hawkings on the streets of New York [NEQ 112585], where she chose to stay with him after realizing she could not face being in the Big Apple all alone. For some time after that, Edgar had tracked his father throughout the globe, usually with Stacy tagging along and contributing to the occasional breakthrough that Edgar would have on his quest. Unlike Edgar, who was half-human, half-angel, Stacy was one hundred percent human, which is why even though she survived the portal trip to this section of Australia's Canning Stock Route, she still took quite a pummeling inside of it.

The two princesses had met Stacy before, in all places, a magically expanding bathtub [lost HH IV episodes]. Astra and Exotica had found it astonishing that Stacy chose to climb in without shedding a stitch of clothing or even her shoes. Everyone else had been naked as the day they were born! Also, there were these weird costumed people present who kept honking a bicycle horn and requesting at least three hard boiled eggs...

1. Edgar and Chamuel continue to argue loudly.
2. Stacy recognizes Astra and Exotica. "Did we...take a bath together?" she asks.
3. A third portal manifests, and out steps private detective John Thessamar, who had been following both Edgar and Chamuel.
4. A third portal appears. Josh Burbank falls out of it head first.
