Right in the middle of the parking lot is a shimmering portal, through which our group sees... themselves, inside the Starbucks. Looks to be about three hours ago. They know this because three hours ago Scott had ordered like eight pastries and eaten every single one of them. They can see him scarfing them down through the portal right now.

"Let's go through it!" exclaims Kim, really getting into things. "This is the type of crazy shit you guys told me about. I'm down."

"Hold your horses," says Sara, "going through strange portals is the opposite of what we discussed earlier."

"Thank you," agrees Josh, vehemently. "We are going to go to one of our houses and chill the fuck out. Right guys? Right?" He looks around for support.

  1. Too late, Kim already jumped into the portal.
  2. Everyone agrees, even Kim (reluctantly). They decide whose place to hole up in.
  3. The versions of them within the portal are looking right at them. "Hey, what the fuck?!" exclaims portal Scott.
  4. They argue about this for about fifteen minutes. Meanwhile, a giant Costco has appeared across the street. "Dammit!" exclaims Josh.
  5. They all decide to go to their own respective homes instead.
  6. They all decide to go into the portal. Fuck it.
