See subject line. The driver and her companion are Thelma and Louise, criminal lesbians. They had survived their cliff dive because of quality American made shock absorbers. They had stolen this truck from Bill, a local assassin.
They offer rides to our heros. The destination is Fort Desoto, a small airport sold to the local Native American tribe. It's out of federal jurisdiction and open to Thelma and Louise over past incidents. They couldn't get Sara and the others in but a ride to the border was offered. They would have to negotiate their own way into Fort Desoto.
