Horsehockey V - Episode 2175

"All you have to do is rescue a princess from a dragon!" the man said. "You get to keep the dragon's hoard, and there is a reward for her return!"

"I see," Anordo said. "But what's in it for you? You surely aren't telling us this out of the goodness of your heart."

The man managed to do quite a good job of appearing shocked by Anordo's cynicism. "I want no monetary reward. All I'm thinking of is that poor princess, a captive of the vile dragon. But I can't rescue her all by myself; I'd stand no chance against the beast."

"I believe you," the young girl said, her eyes shining. Anordo definitely didn't. Even if there really was a dragon and a princess, he was sure the man must have some scheme in mind that would make him rich. But he wasn't sure what it was. Maybe he intended to steal the hoard after the dragon had been slain?

"So who is this princess?" he asked.

  1. "She's from the neighbouring land of Aqualaria, and her name is Astra."
  2. "She's called Elinor."
  3. The man hesitated for a moment. He hasn't properly prepared his story, Anordo thought. Then the man said: "Britney." Anordo burst out laughing. "You said the first name to come into your head. You can't have a princess called Britney!"
