Edith considered this for a couple of seconds, before breaking into a grin. "Yes, that would be great! Did you have anything specific in mind?"

"We thought we could drive out to the Spotted Eagle recreation area for the day. There's enough to do that we could spend most of the day there, and bring a picnic lunch with us. If you are feeling energetic, then we could go swimming in the lake, or else walk along the nature trail, or both."

"That sounds good."

So a short time later Bill was driving the three of them out to the park.
