Highway 41

Horsehockey V - Episode 1792

While his friends were still thousands of miles south in Argentina trying to help a woman named Edith who had somehow teleported there from Montana, Red "Scraps" Dupris had himself stepped through a mysterious portal which deposited him in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Dupris missed his home country for sure, but he wasn't looking to return home this way.

Besides, his home was in Washington, not this rural wilderness.

Also, some of the locals he had just encountered looked genuinely freaked out at seeing a black man in their lily white community. Scraps had seen some people instinctively reach for their cell phones (or guns?) when they first laid eyes on him. The irony was, Dupris worked for the government. He probably had more credible authority than any one or two man police department around here.

Honestly, the whole situation was driving Dupris around the bend. He made the decision to walk south down the entire length of U.S. 41. The nearest good sized towns were Houghton, Marquette and Escanaba, and the closest major city was Green Bay, Wisconsin.

God, I hate the Green Bay Packers, Scraps thought to himself as he began his walk down U.S. 41.

  1. Stay with Dupris.
  2. Meanwhile, back in Argentina, Leary and McClane continue to gossip about Dupris while simultaneously trying to sort out Edith's situation.
