Trapped!

Horsehockey V - Episode 1645

JH sighs, one of the reasons being that whenever he tries to write stuff in the present tense he almost always lapses into the past tense before long. But a more important reason is that, over a period of twenty years writing for the Never Ending Quest and Horsehockey, he has managed to avoid getting involved in any of the stories himself; now, having let his guard drop because he didn't really expect Lord Reaibn to write an episode any time soon, here he is trapped in one. And there aren't even any naked, mud-wrestling princesses to make the experience more tolerable. Well there was Astra over on the other side of the Starbucks, naked like she seemed to be so often, but she wasn't wrestling anyone or coated in mud.

"Why the big sigh?" Reaibn asks him.

  1. "It's nothing," JH says.
  2. JH decides to tell the truth, borrowing a little from the film Casablanca. "Of all the Starbucks in all the world, I finish up in one where I'm stuck with you three weirdoes."
  3. "I'm just not comfortable with suddenly finding myself stuck in the addventure. I know that bad things tend to happen to the characters, especially when Lots writes an episode."
  4. "Why don't you go over and introduce yourself to Astra?" Ben suggests. "Knowing you, I'm sure that would cheer you up. Assuming she doesn't knock you down, that is."
