Horsehockey V - Episode 163

Anai Fillburton, full time car mechanic and unofficial nurse, stumbled to the top of the staircase. Or at least as far as she wanted to go. Or maybe both. Her head was spinning. Was this the top?
Who cares? There was a water fountain!
Anai gulped down way too much delicious cold water. She belched loud enough to vibrate the metal. Than she sat, her back against the cold machine.
Her head still spun but she had water. That'll help. The machine rattled. Nice and smooth. Anai knew machines and thanks to a year in a cabin with little to read but medical books (don't ask!) she knew some medicine. Unofficially. But a fellow mechanic isn't going to complain when you can yank a hunk of metal out of his hand and stitch him up without owing anything more than a twenty dollar gift card to Dominos.
He head stopped rocking and rolling. Anai looked around. There was more staircase going up but there was a lot on this level. A flashing, low-volume TV. Couldn't see the picture here.
A free standing fridge. Could it have food in it? Her stomach gargled at the thought.
A window, letting in light past maroon curtains.
A door. Tall. Wooden. Reminded her of that 'Norse Gods' movie she saw.
And a trapdoor with ... noodles poking out?

  1. Check the TV. What's playing?
  2. Open the fridge. Hopefully something to eat. Gurgle!
  3. Carefully peer out the window.
  4. Gently push against the door while standing aside.
  5. Go back down the stairs.
  6. Go up the stairs.
  7. Tip toe to the trapdoor.
