Of course the three men hadn't told her that they were ex-CIA agents and that they still had a close connection with the Agency. No, they had claimed to be retired businessmen vacationing in Patagonia, but she hadn't bought that for a moment. For a start, this was a pretty out-of-the-way place to find anyone on vacation from the US. Secondly, the way they had grilled her - though they had been very polite about it - had made her pretty sure that they must be working for US security. Finally, it was really weird that they looked just like the actors who had played three of the leads in the film "RED", which she had seen, and even had the same names. Given that the film was supposed to be fiction, how could that be?
She decided that she wanted some answers. Going up to the front desk, she asked the receptionist which rooms they were in. Though he probably shouldn't have, he told her. But then he added: "You won't find them in their rooms, though. They asked if we had a conference room, and when I said yes they asked if they could borrow it. So you'll probably find them there. Down the corridor on the left, and it's the last door on the right." "Thanks."
