It turns out hiding in a casino is a good way to survive the zombie apocalypse. The Blue Bay Casino, for all it's faults, was designed well to oppose bullshit. The doors, built to resist ramming, easily resisted the fist pounds of angry zombie hordes.
It's been three days. Despite the rooms full of non perishable food and Mabel's supply of brain-altering prescription drugs, Scott tries to do something productive.

Scott utterly fails. He and Mabel continue watching old movies on a battery powered DVD player they had found.

Scott finds a security substation and carefully examines the communication equipment.

Scott finds four bellhops who had hid out in the Blue Bay Hotel in the East Wing.

Scott finds another box of horse laxatives and eats it. Box and wrappers too.

Scott finds an iPhone in Lost and Found with an easily guessable password. He signs onto the internet. It still, somewhat, works.

Scott finds a golden lab; he had been drinking out of a decorative fountain and eating abandoned lunches. Also the dog had been doing this as well.
