The scariness if being lost in an infinite Blockbuster is lessened by a new friend. Carol and your mom bond. She even shows embarrassing baby pictures. Where had they been kept?
Your mind turns to flirting but it turns out Carol has a fiancee who was gone for three months, consulting with the military on building hospitals in mountainous areas. Chris Smith is a mountain expert from the tips to the bottoms. In fact, knowing so much about mountains had led Chris to some urban legends about mountains that were bigger on the inside than the outside.
Naturally experts believed that the legend tellers of long ago had just found a cavern system. But now? With this Blockbuster madness? Who knows? Carol, of course, racks here brain for any details but of course can only come up with one specific tale. Chris had talked about how one of the mountains was supposedly in the Mexican state of Oaxaca, in the Sierra Madre Del Sur mountain range. You knew you were on the right mountain when one found trees scarred with claws, claws that didn't quite match any known animal.
